The Impossible Fortress
by Jason Rekulak
Loved it. It's 80s nostalgia straight out of my childhood: a nerdy kid who loves programming and is kind of a loser with only two loser friends meets a girl -- a nerd girl -- and they write an incredible video game together. The story feels like I could have written it, and it feels like a memory burned forever in my brain.
If you enjoyed Ready Player One by Ernest Cline or the "Stranger Things" show, you'll enjoy this.
