Babylon's Ashes

The Expanse - Book #6

by

I'll be honest with you, I didn't enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed the first four books. Babylon's Ashes is essentially Nemesis Games Part Two, as opposed to a whole new adventure like the first four books where. This book also dealt a lot more with politics and had a lot less action than the previous books.

That said, it does set up the 7th book to be more action-oriented, so I'll give it a pass. This kind of thing tends to happen in long-running series, where the fifth or sixth book slows down for a moment to gather all the threads before moving on to the finale books.

I'm really looking forward to the next few books, but I hope they bring back the spirit of the first few books a little more.
